Sustainability
SALT Academy’s long-term goal is to
- reduce administrative costs
- secure sustainable funding
- and have the overall league owned and supported by the local community groups.
To achieve this goal, SALT plans to run basic administration and tournaments but gradually stop providing uniforms, shoes, and other sports materials, as local groups find and local leaders begin to understand the benefits of youth sports programs. We also encourage communities in efforts to finance their sports programs independently of SALT; for example, we support coaches with writing funding proposals.
